A dental extraction is the process of removing a tooth. Some reasons why a tooth may need to be extracted include: extensive decay or fracture that render the tooth non-restorable, infection, periodontal disease, or crowding.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a great option to replace missing teeth and to stabilize and anchor dentures.

An implant is a titanium alloy that is placed in the jaw bone and acts like the root of a tooth. An abutment and custom crown are fabricated and placed on top of the implant to complete the restoration and restore function.

Over 80% of patients with a lower denture complain that they are unhappy with the fit, stability, or retention, which means they have sore spots, the denture slides or rocks, and most importantly, the denture can move and lift up when eating or talking. Implants can be used to anchor dentures to the bone to make them more stable and comfortable.

Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening is a minor surgical procedure to remove excess gum tissue and bone for esthetic reasons or restorative reasons. If a tooth is fractured or decayed deep near the bone level, crown lengthening may be necessary in order to save the tooth by making room for a permanent crown or bridge restoration.
